Hi guys, thank you for all the very informative feedback its great.
Just a quick question if that's ok tapping into your extensive servo knowledge.
I recently bought several DIYMORE MG996R servos which stated a throw range of 270 degree. However when plugged into my FRSKY reciever they only move 30 degrees travel either side even with the limits set to 100% .
Is it possible to increase the range to 90 degrees either side without doing modifications internally ?
Hi there and welcome! While servos are capable of of moving 180 degrees or greater the signal put out by R/C receivers limits the travel. Programmable radios typically have a menu function where you can increase the servo throw a bit, usually up to 120% tops. To get that full 270 degree range of motion you would probably have to use a different method of sending a signal to the servo.
